“I think Guitar Lessons Interactive and the guitar lessons are great, I've learned so much from what you are teaching me
now. You're a great teacher. Rock On!”
Sam G.
Kona, Hawaii Age 11

“I live in a very rural area, with no qualified teachers.   But that is no issue with Chuck Rogers of Guitar Lessons Interactive.  The lessons are actually more convenient than going to someone’s store or studio.  His instruction is excellent, and you soon forget you are not in the same room."
Chuck C.
Kona, Hawaii

"Guitar Lessons Interactive provides excellent instruction and is a very convenient way to study guitar since all lessons are taken online from my home computer."
Tom R.
Orlando, Florida

Chuck Rogers is a master guitarist and instructor, and has focused on playing not only the score as written, but also on technique. This has helped me to bring out the beauty of the instrument and the amazing music that has been created for it.  Chuck brings a world of experience to his teaching, and I am glad that I am one of his students.
Tolson M.

1. How do I communicate with the instructor during music lessons?

The teacher and student can see and speak to each other by using a computer with internet, a webcam and a microphone. The webcam allows the teacher and student to see one another and the microphone allows them to speak to each other. The internet takes both the audio and video signals and transfers them via the internet back and forth between computers.

2. What software do I need to see and speak with a teacher?

Music Lessons Interactive uses the software Skype to communicate between teacher and student.

3. Where can I obtain Skype?

Skype can be downloaded free from www.Skype.com

4. Do I need to buy an expensive webcam?

No. Most webcams will work fine. We do recommend that you purchase the best webcam that your budget will allow, as the quality may be better. Make sure your webcam uses 30 frames per second as the video quality will be better.

5. Should I purchase a webcam with a built in microphone?

We recommend that you purchase a webcam without a built-in microphone. Often, the built-in microphone will be placed too close to the speakers and will cause an echo effect.

If you already have a webcam with a built-in microphone make sure that you place the speakers as far away as possible from the webcam.

6. Do I need to purchase an expensive microphone?

No. Desktop microphones that work well can be purchased  inexpensively.  Most computer microphones plug into a USB port on the computer.

7. Can I use a dial up internet connection for lessons?

No. The transfer quality is not strong enough to conduct lessons online.

8.  What type of internet connection do I need to use?

Any type of high speed internet service will work. This can be through a cable line, or phone line which is also known as DSL.

9.  How do I start my first lesson?

First, you will need to purchase the above items (webcam, microphone, and high speed internet).

Second, you will need to register for lessons.

Third, your teacher will contact you to set up a lesson time.

Remember, your first lesson is free!

10. How do I pay for my lessons?

After you have set up your lesson time you will pay your teacher directly using Paypal, Visa, Mastercard or Discover.

11. Can I change teachers?

Yes.  If you are not happy for any reason with your teacher assignment, please let us know.

We will be happy to provide another teacher who will be more suitable for your situation.

We will transfer any funds paid to your next teacher.

12. What is the warranty and return policy for guitars?
Guitars have a one year warranty.  If your guitar ever develops a warranty problem, you may return it at your expense for up to one year, and a guitar of equal value will be provided for replacement.
